🔍 The Security Challenge Before FIND-Ghana Equips UCC Security Personnel

As the sun rises over the University of Cape Coast (UCC), its security personnel stand watch—silent sentinels safeguarding knowledge and potential. Yet, in a world where threats evolve faster than a quantum algorithm, mere vigilance won’t suffice. FIND-Ghana introduced the game-changer: a three-day training workshop that would redefine their role and empower them to face the unexpected head-on.

🚀 The Workshop That Ignited Change

From 6th to 8th October 2020, the UCC campus buzzed with purpose. The Directorate of Legal Consular and General Services joined forces with Forensic Investigation for National Development (FIND Ghana) to orchestrate a symphony of knowledge. Their mission? To equip security personnel with skills sharper than a freshly honed sword.

🔑 Unlocking Essential Skills

The workshop’s curriculum read like a thriller novel: general security tactics, medicine emergencies , criminal psychology insights, substance abuse awareness, crime scene mastery, and even a dash of bioterrorism preparedness. These weren’t theoretical musings; they were the tools of the trade.

🎙️ Voices of Wisdom at the FIND-GH Equips UCC Security Personnel Seminar

Dr. Akwasi Ayanful, the wise Chair of the Campus Security and Safety Committee, didn’t mince words. “Guardians,” he declared, “your duty transcends mere presence. Learn, absorb, and wield this knowledge. Lives depend on it.”

Rev. Isaac Baafi Sarbeng, the Director of Human Resources, echoed the refrain. His eyes held conviction: “This isn’t a drill. It’s a calling. Be the shield that stands unyielding.”

🔍 The Architects of Transformation

FIND Ghana, a beacon of forensic enlightenment led the charge. Mr. Abu Sulemana Mohammed, their Project Director, stood tall. Beside him, subject matter as a wizards wove spells of expertise. Together, they ignited minds, sparking flames of competence.

👐 Hands-On Heroics

In the workshop’s heart, practical sessions pulsed. Security personnel practiced first aid like seasoned medics—handling shocks, staunching bleeding, and breathing life into CPR dummies. But it wasn’t just about bandages; it was about honor, integrity, and the legal compass guiding their actions.

Mrs. Alberta Y. Graham, Director of Legal Consular and General Services, and DCOP Patrick Adusei Sarpong (rtd), Chief Security, stood witness. Their presence wasn’t ceremonial; it was a pact with safety. They vowed to protect students, staff, and visitors alike.
